  2. Sign in to MyClasses Canvas. Ensure that MyClasses Canvas is selected in the dropdown. Do NOT use the Panopto option.

  3. You will be directed to the MyClasses Canvas login page. Enter your SU username and password in the box and click Log in. You are now logged into the application.

How To Create Recordings Using the Panopto App

  1. To begin, tap the green plus button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

  2. In the menu that opens, select either Record a video or Upload media.

If you selected: Record a video

  1. You will be taken to the camera to start recording a new video. When you are ready, tap the red circle to begin recording a new video. When you are done recording, tap the red square to stop recording.

  2. Select Retake if you would like to re-record your video. Select the play icon, to watch your recording. Or select Done to upload the video that was created.

If you selected: Upload media

You may be prompted to upload from either Media Library or Documents.

Depending on where your video is located, you can select either,

  • Media Library for videos stored in your camera roll (inside the Photos app).

  • or Documents for videos stored in your files (inside the Files app).

Uploading, Viewing, and Renaming

  1. Once you have finished recording or selecting your video, it will begin uploading and processing. It will appear in the Recent Uploads section of the Home tab. This video will be stored in My Folder. To see the video, tap the Browse tab at the bottom and tap the My Folder row at the top of the screen.

  2. To change the name of your upload, tap the three dots that are directly to the right of the current title of the video. Then, tap the current title of the video and enter your desired name.

Moving recordings between folders is not possible in the Panopto app. You will need to use a desktop or laptop to move recordings between folders.
