Before any Panopto recordings can be access by students in MyClasses, faculty must enable Panopto in their MyClasses course.  If the Panopto Recordings option is not visible on the course navigation menu, see Enabling Panopto to in Your MyClasses Course for information on how to add it to your course menu.

If you copied a course from a previous semester, the Panopto Recordings should appear on the course menu.  In order to reuse Panopto recordings from a previous semester, faculty must:

Activate Panopto For a Given Semester Step-by-Step Guide

Activating Panopto creates a course folder within Panopto and provides the Panopto server with a list of current students. Students in the course automatically have viewing rights to all videos within their course Panopto folder.

  1. Login to MyClasses Canvas and select the desired course.
  2. From the course navigation, select Panopto Recordings.
      Enabled on the course navigation menu.
  3. A folder will be created for the current semester.
