The DesignPLUS suite includes tools to upload, crop crop, resize, and style images in your Canvas courses. While While editing your page, you only need to place your cursor in the rich content editor where you want to insert an image. Then select select the Upload/Embed Image tool in Canvas’ native rich content editor toolbar editor toolbar under the Apps plug-in dropdown. Once Once you have an image embedded in the rich content editor, the the Design Tools Sidebar provides additional ways to style your image.

You can perform some basic modifications to your images using the Upload/Embed Image Tool such as:
Aspect Ratio:
UseUse the tool to custom crop or lock the controls into a specific aspect ratio.
Rotate or Flip an Image: Change the presentation either horizontally or vertically, 1o at a time or in 45o increments.
Change Size of Image: Select a predefined width or height or manually enter the desired size.
Edit file name and alt-text:
letslets you pre-pan your reminders and course announcements.
