This will explain how to create a new Respondus file from a Canvas quiz download if you wish to print or modify a Canvas quiz, or if Respondus quizzes in MyClasses Blackboard were imported to Canvas and as an instructor you would like to access them.

To create a Respondus quiz from Canvas:

  1. Enter a course and click on theĀ Settings tab from the main course navigation.

  2. Click on Export Course Content on the right side of the screen.

  3. Under Export type, select Quiz, and then select the specific quiz you want. Finally, Click on Create Export.

  2. The export will then start, but it may take a moment to complete. Once it does, click on the button that says, New Export.

  3. Once downloaded, open Respondus.

  4. Set the personality at the top of the page to IMS QTI 1.1+

  5. Click on Import Questions and beside File Name click on Browse.

  6. Search for the export in the downloads folder, but make sure to change the file type to Zipped IMS QTI package (.zip)

  2. Finally, give the quiz a name. Click Preview and then Finish to create the quiz.

  3. From here, you can amend quiz questions, or print the quiz within Respondus.
