To create a new Item Bank from an existing New Quiz:

  1. Click on the “Quizzes” Quizzes or "Assignments" link from the Course Navigation menu on the left side of your MyClasses Course.

  2. Identify the quiz that holds the questions you are interested in selecting and click the three vertical dots on the right side of your window (Note: this must be a “New Quiz” - look for the shaded rocket icon!).

  3. Select the “Build” option Build from the pull-down list

  4. Select Edit (pencil icon) on the right side of the question you wish to add to the Item bank.

  5. Scroll down and click to the Item Banking option:

    1. Click the drop-down

    menu labelled “Item Banking” and select the “Add to Bank” option.

    Select “New item bank” and provide
    1. arrow to open Item Banking and

    2. Select Add to Bank.

  6. In the pop-up window:

    1. Select New item bank

    2. Provide a title for the Bank (Note: It is suggested that you use the course ID to help identify your bank).

    3. Click

    on the blue “Add” button

    1. Add to add this question to the Item Bank you created.

  7. A message will identify the Item as “banked”.

  8. Click Done at the bottom of the question to save the question.

  9. Identify the next question you wish to bank and select the “Add to Bank” from the “Item Banking” pull-down (See Step 5)Select “Existing item bank”, type to the same Item Bank and repeat Steps 4 and 5.

  10. In the pop-up window,

    1. Select Existing item bank,

    2. Type the first few letters of the name of your newly created bank.

    3. Select your newly created bank from the pull-down list for “destination bank”

  11. Click the “Add” button Add

  12. A message will identify the Item as “banked" (See Step 8).

  13. Click Done at the bottom of the question.

  14. Repeat Steps 109-15 13 for any other questions you want to save to your item bankItem Bank.

  15. When you have finished adding all of your identified questions into the Item Bank, you can leave the quiz by clicking on the "Return" button in the upper right corner of your page.
