In addition to using the Panopto recorder, individuals can upload videos created in other platforms to Panopto to stream and include in their MyClasses courses. Review the various media types supported by Panopto.

To upload a video using the Create option:

  1. Log into MyClasses, select the desired course and select Panopto Recordings from the course menu. If you do not see this on your course menu, follow the steps in our Enabling Panopto in your MyClasses Course article.

  2. At the top, select the Create button and then select Upload media.

    For more information about supported file types, please review this guide from Panopto support.

  2. Drag and drop the video file(s) or click inside of the box to select the file from your computer. You can drop multiple files into the video upload window at one time to create multiple sessions.

  1. Add files to Panopto folder by dragging file option. At the top it states Add files to and then has a drop down box to select the desired folder. Below this drop-down is a wide area outlined with a dashed line which states Drag video or audio files here (or click to find on your computer).Image Added



  2. Wait for Uploading to finish, which may take a while based on the size and amount of files.

  2. A green checkmark and the phrase "Upload complete" will confirm that the video has been uploaded along with the sentence "You can close this window now.

  2. After the video is uploaded, Panopto will continue to process and encode the recording for playback from your Panopto Recordings link in the course. You can add the recording to pages within your course to embed the video along with other course content.
