Installing the Panopto Recorder on an SU computer using the Software Center

If you are using an SU provided computer, you can install Panopto from the Software Center. Instructions on Installing Software using Software Center/Self Service article from the Technology Support Center.

Installing the Panopto Recorder on a personal computer Step-by-Step Guide

  1. In your MyClasses Canvas course, select Panopto Recordings from the Course Navigation.

  2. Click Create and then select Panopto for Windows or Panopto for Mac (depending on your operating system).

  3. Select the desired installation for PC or Mac.

     

  4. Choose to either SAVE or OPEN the file and wait for the download to conclude and then run the program panoptorecorder.exe or Panopto Recorder.pkg.

  5. Open the installation file and follow the prompts on your computer to continue the installation.
