MyClasses Assessment Development Request Service

ID&D KB How-to Guide

Working together to enhance teaching & learning. If you need additional assistance, please reach out to the ID&D team.

Instructional Design & Delivery provides the MyClasses Assessment Development Request service for faculty who need assistance creating assessments in the MyClasses Quizzes tool. Faculty can upload a Word document with questions and answer key and the ID&D team will prepare the assessment in Quizzes of the specified MyClasses course. Word documents that are submitted using the Respondus import file format will be faster to prepare for a MyClasses assessment.

Before submitting your assessment development request:

  1. Review your Word document and ensure you have an answer key for True/False, Multiple Choice, Multiple Answer and Matching question types. If preferred, faculty may submit two separate files, with one including assessment questions and a second file with assessment answers.

  2. If possible, format the Word document for Respondus importing. Otherwise, ID&D will re-format the document which may extend the time for completion of the development request.

  3. Requests should be submitted 72 hours in advance of needing the assessment.

  4. Provide answers to the settings related to your assessment and use the comment box to describe any other information that will be helpful for the creation of the assessment.

  5. Once the assessment has been published to your MyClasses course, faculty are to review the questions, answers and settings for accuracy. After the review faculty are to Publish the assessment to make it available to their students.
