New Senior DBA - Jason Kelly

Please join me in welcoming Jason Kelly to the Database & Enterprise Support (DES) Team as the new Senior Database Administrator. DBA's perform a mixed role here at SU having to do both traditional SQL Database administration for all of our application servers but are also responsible for the underlying foundation of all PeopleSoft servers and administer the software applications for those environments. Additionally, the DES team is also responsible for maintaining the backend web server functionality and content management platform for our web presence to support the operations of the Web Development team.

Over the past 10 years of service at SU working in the Enterprise Information Systems team as a developer, Jason has been an essential element of the success of numerous projects such as our Canvas implementation, Digital Measures, and regularly worked between the EIS and DES team to help coordinate PeopleSoft updates. Anyone who has had the opportunity to work with Jason knows that he is a team player who has regularly stepped up to assist others and who always strives to see an issue through to the end. I look forward to all of the new perspectives and experience that Jason will bring to the DES team working alongside Allison Foltz.
