Workday - Resolving Common Login/Cache Issues

If you are experiencing cache-related issues while using Workday, following these steps can help resolve the problem. These instructions cover clearing cache for different browsers and troubleshooting steps to ensure smooth access to Workday. 

Reminder: Workday recommends using modern, up-to-date browsers to ensure optimal performance and security. The supported browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari. Users should ensure they are running the latest versions of these browsers, as Workday continuously tests and updates its platform to align with the latest browser releases. These browsers provide robust support for HTML5 and other web standards, which Workday leverages to deliver a seamless and secure user experience. It is also advised to regularly clear cache and cookies to maintain the browser's performance with Workday applications. 

Clear your Browsers Cache:

Depending on the browser you are using, follow the relevant steps below: 

Google Chrome: 

Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser. 

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Delete Browsing Data

Select the Time range (preferably All time). 

Check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files

Click Delete data

Mozilla Firefox: 

Click the three lines in the upper right corner of the browser. 

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security

Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data and click Clear Data

Check Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content

Click Clear

Microsoft Edge: 

Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser. 

Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services

Under Delete browsing data, click Choose what to clear

Select Time range (preferably All time). 

Check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files

Click Clear now

 Safari (macOS): 

Click Safari in the top left corner of the screen. 

Select Settings > Privacy

Click Manage Website Data

Select Remove All

Click Remove Now

 

Disable Browser Extensions

 Browser extensions can sometimes interfere with Workday functionality. Temporarily disable any extensions to see if they are causing the issue: 

Google Chrome: 

Click the three dots in the upper right corner. 

Go to Extensions > Manage Extensions

Toggle off extensions one by one and check Workday after each to identify the culprit. 

Mozilla Firefox: 

Click the three lines in the upper right corner. 

Go to Add-ons and themes > Extensions

Disable extensions by clicking the toggle next to each one. 

Microsoft Edge: 

Click the three dots in the upper right corner. 

Go to Extensions > Manage Extensions

Toggle off extensions to identify any causing issues. 

Safari (macOS): 

Click Safari in the top left corner of the screen. 

Select Settings > Extensions

Uncheck the box next to each extension to disable it. 

 

Restart the Browser

 After clearing the cache and disabling extensions, close your browser completely and reopen it. This ensures that changes take effect and that the browser starts fresh. 

 

Try a Different Browser

 If the issue persists, try accessing Workday using a different browser to determine if the problem is browser specific.
