Personal Computer Security
We highly recommend having anti-virus and anti-malware software installed on your personal(non-SU) computer, and advise running virus and malware scans prior to downloading and installing other software. There are a wide variety of free and paid anti-virus and anti-malware software available for you to use.
If you do not already have an anti-virus program: Microsoft Security Essentials is available for Windows PCs, and BitDefender (available on the Apple Store) or either ClamXav or Sophos Anti-Virus (available for download) for the Macintosh.
If you do not already have an anti-malware program: MalwareBytes is available for Windows PCs and Avast AntiVirus (download) or BitDefender (Apple Store) for Macintosh.
