How to Import your Favorites

Your Favorites may be imported from one Browser(Edge/Firefox/Chrome) to another.

See the instructions below on importing your favorites to Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome.  

Please note you if you are having difficulties importing from another browser you can export the favorites first then import them using the HTML or CSV instructions for the browser.

In Microsoft Edge

Here's how to import favorites and passwords from Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, or an HTML or CSV file generated by another browser into Microsoft Edge.

In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more   (in the top right corner) > Settings  > Profile > Import Browser Data. 

Select Choose what to import, select a browser under Import from, and then select Import. Only browsers installed on your PC will appear. 

Alternately, after selecting Choose what to import, select Favorites or Bookmarks HTML file or Passwords CSV file under Import from, select Choose file, and then navigate to the file on your device and select Open.

In Mozilla Firefox

Here's how to import favorites and passwords from Internet Explorer, Chrome, or an HTML or CSV file generated by another browser into Mozilla Firefox.

Click on the menu button  to open the menu panel. Click Bookmarks and then click the Manage Bookmarks bar at the bottom.

From the toolbar on the Library window, click Import and Backup and choose either Import Data from Another Browser or Import Bookmarks from HTML….

If importing from another browser select the Browser from the pop up window then select Next.  Choose the items to import then select Next again then click Finish.

If importing from HTML navigate to the bookmarks HTML file you are importing and select the file then click Open.

Close the Library window all Bookmarks will now be listed.  

If your Bookmarks toolbar is not viewable select the menu button , then Bookmarks, then select Show bookmarks toolbar.

In Google Chrome

Here's how to import favorites and passwords from Internet Explorer, Firefox, or an HTML or CSV file generated by another browser into Google Chrome.

In Google Chrome click More in the top right corner.

Select Bookmarks  Import Bookmarks and Settings.

From the drop-down menu, select either Bookmarks HTML file(if you have an exported file) or choose the Browser(Internet Explorer/Firefox) you would like to import from.

If you selected Bookmarks HTML file select Choose File.

Click Import.

If you haven't created any bookmarks in Chrome, the bookmarks show up in the bookmarks bar.

If you already have bookmarks in Chrome, the bookmarks are in a new folder labeled "Imported."
