How to install/manage the DisplayLink docking station on a Mac

For DisplayLink docking stations to be used with Mac devices please follow the below instructions. 

Please note that this application is user specific and therefore must be installed while the device is logged into by the user (not an admin account or technician account).  

Go to https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/macos and download the DisplayLink Manager.

Drag the download to the applications folder to install the application.  

If prompted for administrative credentials, enter admin credentials to approve installation.

Once installed open the DisplayLink application and check mark the Launch automatically after login box. 

If the configuration of the display needs to be adjusted go to System Preferences>Display and drag the displays to match what is needed. 

Choose Display Settings in the bottom left corner to change the default, main display, and adjust brightness as desired.
