Overview

This document provides information about the Workday Mobile App and includes both an overview of the available capabilities and how to access and configure the app. Workday updates their mobile app several times a year, and it is recommended to keep the app up to date. Any screen shots in this job aid are subject to change due to the frequent app updates.

About the Workday Mobile App

The Workday Mobile App provides on-the-go access to Maryland CONNECT Workday. While the app- based version of Workday does not have the full suite of capabilities available on the desktop version, it does include several functions and tasks that users perform most regularly. These include, but are not limited to:

Entering time and absence data
Creating and submitting Expense Reports
Providing approval for tasks that require formal review
Accessing Workday My Tasks
Reviewing Workday Notifications
Accessing your Worker profile
Changing Emergency Contacts
View Team Profiles
Review reports and dashboards

Configuring and Accessing the Workday Mobile App

Select the Get the Workday Mobile App pop up in the top right corner of the home screen.

Once logged in to Workday select the Profile icon on the top right then select My Account.

Click on the Organization ID option at the top.

Open the camera app on your mobile device to scan the QR code and select the link that pops up.

The App Store displays for your mobile device to download the Workday Mobile App.

Download the app to your device.

Open the Workday app.

The Welcome to Your Workday screen displays.

Select Log In.

Confirm that the Organization ID is correct. Your Organization ID should be MarylandConnect .

Select Connect.

Log in using your Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials for your institution. This will be your SU username and password.

The Workday app home page displays.

Locate Items awaiting your action in My Tasks at the bottom of the screen.

Review any Notifications under Notifications at the top of the screen.

Use Find to search for tasks, reports, workers and more.

Select Apps on the bottom of the screen or under Welcome using View All to select an app review information, complete tasks, submit an expense report, enter time, request time off, and more.
