Workday-HCM: Disability & Veteran Identification

Overview

This document explains how an employee can change or update their Disability and Veteran status.

The recommended browser for accessing Workday is Google Chrome. However, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari may also be used.

Disability Identification

Notes:

  • This task is used to update or add new disability information.

  • Some fields may or may not be auto populated. Any field that auto populates should be left as is unless a change to the field is required. Fields that do not auto populate should be entered in.

 

  1. Enter Change Self-Identification of Disability in the Search bar and select the task.

  2. The Change Self-Identification of Disability pop up displays.

  3. Worker: automatically populates to Employee’s name.

  4. Select OK.

  5. The Change Self-Identification of Disability page displays.

  6. Review all information on the page before starting the task.

  7. Select a Radio to choose one of the following:

    1. Yes, I Have a Disability, Or Have a History/Record Of Having a Disability

    2. No, I Don’t Have a Disability, Or a History/Record of Having a Disability

    3. I Don’t Wish To Answer

  8. (Optional) Enter any comments into the Comment textbox.

  9. Select Submit.

Notes:

  • After submission, it will be sent for approval.

  • You will be notified if it is corrected or rescinded.

Veteran Identification

Notes:

  • This task is used to update or add your veteran status information.

  • Some fields may or may not be auto populated. Any field that auto populates should be left as is unless a change to the field is required. Fields that do not auto populate should be entered in.

  1. Enter Change My Veteran Status Identification in the Search bar and select the task.

  2. The Change My Veteran Status Identification pop up displays.

  3. Worker: automatically populates to Employee’s name.

  4. Select OK.

  5. The Change My Veteran Status Identification page displays.

  6. Review the information before starting the task.

  7. Use the Prompt to select your Veteran Status.

  8. Choose a Check Box(s) under the Select all that apply section:

    1. Disabled Veteran

    2. Recently Separated Veteran

      1. Discharge Date: Use the Calendar to select the Discharge Date.

    3. Active Duty Wartime or Campaign Badge Veteran

    4. Armed Forces Service Medal Veteran

  1. (Optional) Enter any comments into the Comment textbox.

  2. Select Submit.

Notes:

  • After submission, the task is successfully completed.

  • You will receive a notification if it is corrected or rescinded.
