Video recordings will be deleted from Panopto after 5 years of the most recent view. This retention policy was developed by ID&D in consultation with Technology Support Services and the Faculty Senate's Library and Learning Resources Committee in accordance to student record-retentions and faculty instructional needs.
Examples:
- A recording created on FridayMonday, April 23, 2013 2018 with 0 views in the past 5 years will be marked for deletion.
- An online lecture recording created in Fall 2015 with 0 views in the past 5 years will be marked for deletion.
- A student video project created in Fall 2015 2017 that was viewed only during the Fall 2015 2017 semester will be marked for deletion.
- A recording of a campus event with 0 views in the past 5 years will be marked for deletion.
- An online lecture that has been reused in multiple semesters that has been viewed within the past 5 years will remain on the server.
