Migrate a Classic Quiz to a New Quizzes

Question groups do not exist in New Quizzes. Instead, a question group is the same as an Item Bank where all questions that are to be randomly distributed are stored together. When migrating a Classic Quiz with question groups, each question group will convert to an individual Item Bank.

Method 1: Migrate a single assessment step-by-step guide

  1. In your MyClasses course, select Quizzes from the course navigation. Locate the Classic Quiz that needs to be migrated, then click the three dots to the right of it (a) and select Migrate (b).

  2. When the Classic Quiz is finished migrating, the duplicate New Quiz will appear with a filled in rocket icon. The original Classic Quiz will remain in the course with the outline of a rocket icon. Faculty are encouraged to review the New Quiz version of the assessment to ensure everything transferred over correctly and before deleting the Classic Quiz version.
