You can create a template document in OneDrive to assign to students so that they can create unique submissions for an assignment. A OneDrive assignment will duplicate the document, slide deck, or spreadsheet you assign for each student to edit/update for assignment completion.

To Create a OneDrive Assignment

You must first have the OneDrive LTI tool enabled in your course.

  1. Click on Assignment from your course menu
  2. Click Add Assignment and enter assignment details (e.g. Title, Description, point value, due date)
  3. For Submission Type select External Tool
  4. Choose Office 365 from the external tool list and select the OneDrive file you want to embed in the assignment
  5. Save assignment details
