Printing Multiple Versions of a Test

If you need multiple versions of a test, whether the questions appear in a different order- let Respondus do the work for you. With just a few clicks of the button Respondus can provide multiple print versions of your assessment.

  1. From the Preview & Publish tab, select Print Options.

  2. Select the desired format: Exam, Exam with Answer Key or, Answer Key only. Click the Settings button to the right of each option to further adjust settings.

  3. Select the features to include on your print version of the test, including question number.

  4. Select the Formatting tab to format the print out version with details including font, font size, and spacing.

  5. Click ok to save settings.

  6. Click the Edit Headers button to modify the text that will appear at the top of each page. (i.e. HIST 210 Final Exam)                                                                                                                                

  7. You can also choose to randomize questions so that each student receives a unique copy of the test, or group question by question type to keep things consistent. When you are done selecting these settings in #3, click the Print Preview button to display the exam output in a window.

  8. Click the Save to File button to save the exam to MS Word, rich Text Format, or Text formal. Click the Send to Printer button to print the exam directly.

  9. To create an alternate version, use the Randomize question order drop down and select a different variation.

 

Note: to print multiple versions of the exam, use the Randomize question order drop down box to select another variation. You may select up to six versions including the original.
