How to Manage Office 365 Activations and Installations
All current SU faculty, staff, and students are able to download a free copy of Microsoft Office 365 to their personal computers.
This license can be used on 5 devices. If you have reached your limit you can log out of a previously activated installation using the instructions below.
Employees who are in between contracts, affiliates, or students who are not currently enrolled have a more limited Microsoft 365 license which confines the use of Microsoft 365 applications to online only. These users will not have access to activate locally installed Microsoft Office 365 products until they are again current.
From any device, go to https://www.office.com/ and sign in using your SU credentials if prompted.
Click on your initials or profile picture in the top right corner.
Select Manage on the Office apps tile.
Under Apps & devices, select the down arrow next to DEVICES to view the devices where Office is installed.
Select Sign out next to the device.
It can take up to 72 hours for Office to detect that you signed out remotely.
