Open Teams and select the Team or Channel that contains files that you would like synced to your desktop.
In the top right corner click on the three dots and choose Open in SharePoint.
A new browser tab will open showing the Team and appropriate SharePoint account, select Sync.

You will receive a notification in the bottom right corner that states You are now syncing TeamNAME.
You can now open your Windows File Explorer and view your synced Teams files.
