If an instructor uses a common structure or information on a page or in an assignment or a discussion, they can save a lot of time by duplicating content and editing the duplicate to update information.

For more details about how to duplicate content, please watch the video or view the step-by-step instructions below.

Duplicating Assignments, Discussions, Quizzes and Pages

Moving Assignments, Discussions, and Quizzes

You can easily move activities to provide a more organized listing for students.

  1. There are two ways to move assignments, discussions and quizzes.

    1. To move or reorder assignments after you’ve created them you can manually drag and drop them to the desired location by clicking and holding down the drag handle next to the assignment name.

    2. You can also use the "Move to" option to reorder an assignment.

      1. Click the three dot icon 2024-07-30_10-05-28.png and select the 2024-07-30_10-41-52.png link. A sidebar will open with move options.

      2. From the Place drop-down menu, select the assignment group for the assignment to move to and decide where to place it within the module.

Make sure you save this change by pressing 2024-07-30_10-48-04.png .

NOTE: Pages cannot be moved or re-ordered; by default they are listed alphabetically. You can however reorder pages within a module.
