Once you receive a notice from the SU Libraries about a fine or fee, you have 30 days during which you can pay the charge directly at the library. You can pay in person at the Library Service Desk with cash, check (payable to Salisbury University), credit card ($5 minimum) or Gull Card.
Payment also may be mailed in the form of a check or money order to the address below. Please include the name and SU ID number or 14-digit library barcode number with payment.
Salisbury University Libraries Attn: Circulation Department 1101 Camden Ave. Salisbury, MD 21801
Thirty days after you receive the fine notice, any unpaid charges will be forwarded to the Cashiers Office and must be paid through them. You can pay in person at the Cashiers Office (Holloway Hall 219), by mail, or online.
Online Payments
The process to pay library fines online differs depending on your status at SU. Please choose the option below that fits your situation to find instructions.
Please note that online payments should only be made once the charges have been forwarded to the Cashiers Office. Charges are usually forwarded 30 days after they are assessed, and you will receive a separate notice from the Cashiers Office once the charges are forwarded. To pay a fine prior to receiving this notice, you will need to pay in person at the Library Service Desk or follow the instructions above to pay by mail.
If you have questions about a library fine or fee charged to your account, please submit a Library Fine Inquiry.
Instructions for Paying Online
SU students can typically pay their library fines and fees the same way they pay for any other university charges. Please see the How to Make a Payment page for more information.
Log in to GullNet with your SU username and password.
In GullNet, click the compass icon in the upper left corner, then click “Bills/Payments/PayPlans/Refund” in the menu.
Click “Make a Payment.”
All charges the university has assessed to your account will be listed. If you only want to pay library fines and fees, be sure to only select those items.
Follow the prompts to complete the payment.
To pay library fines and fees online, you will need to know the amount you owe. Although you may have received the amount in a fine notice from the library, it is best to contact the Cashiers Office to get the most accurate and up-to-date amount. Please note that SU Libraries staff do not have a reliable way to provide your balance owed at the Cashiers Office.
SU Faculty & staff are not considered to be “authorized users” of this system, so you will need to pay as a guest. Click the link labeled “Click here if you are paying as a guest.”
You should see a login form asking for a Student ID and Last Name. Despite the label, you need to enter your SU ID number (EMPLID) in the “Student ID” field. Enter your last name in the last name field (capitalization does not matter).
Click “Guest Payment for Student Account.”
In the form that appears, select the term in which the fine or fee was charged. If it was charged between semesters, choose the term that the date is closest to.
Enter the total amount you’d like to pay in the Amount field. Note that you do not need to add individual charges separately. You can add them together into a single payment.
Click “Add to Shopping Cart.”
If the summary is correct, click “Checkout” and follow the checkout process to pay by credit card or electronic check. Note that there is an additional fee if paying by credit card.
Once you submit your payment, you will receive an email confirmation to your SU email address. If you do not receive an email confirmation, you should contact the Cashiers Office to make sure the charge went through.
To pay library fines and fees online, non-SU affiliates will need to reach out to the Cashiers Office to get their Login ID. We also recommend confirming the amount owed with them to get the most accurate information before making a payment. Please note that SU Libraries staff do not have a reliable way to provide your balance owed at the Cashiers Office.
You will need to pay as a guest by clicking the link labeled “Click here if you are paying as a guest.”
Enter the Login ID provided to you by the Cashiers Office in the “Student ID” field. If you do not have a Login ID, contact the Cashiers Office to obtain one.
Enter your last name in the last name field (capitalization does not matter).
