ID&D KB How-to Guide

Working together to enhance teaching & learning. If you need additional assistance, please reach out to the ID&D team.

As you build out your online or hybrid course, there are many types of content you may choose use in your course including (but not limited to):

  • Assignments

  • Discussions

  • Files, such as Word, PDF, and PowerPoint documents

  • Media, such as images, videos, and audio

  • Links to outside resources

  • Pages (that can include media, files, links, and other course content)

  • Modules that can be used to organize content

The organization of your course includes course navigation as well as the delivery of the resources, activities, and assignments within the course. In determining course organization, you will want to consider the following questions:

  • What you want students to see when they first enter the course (and when they click 'Home')?

  • What course navigation do you want to be available to students?

  • How do you want to organize information in your course?

  • How do you want students to find the resources, assignments, and activities you provide?
