This guide provide step-by-step to successfully start a PowerPoint Polling Session in the Classroom using PointSolutions :

TurningPoint Add-in

Make sure PowerPoint is NOT open before you start PointSolutions.

Running a PowerPoint Polling Session in-class:

Start the PointSolutions App on the classroom instructor computer. (Review instructions if needed - Accessing the PointSolutions- Desktop App)
From the Polling tab, select the course and click PowerPoint polling.
PowerPoint will start.
Open your PowerPoint Presentation file with the interactive polling slides.
Reset the session.
Make sure the course and Live Polling is selected in the Participants tab.
Make sure your course is listed under the participants section.
Under Mobile Responses, start a session to give your students an id number to join.
Start the Slide Show to Run and save the session.
Close the polling environment to return to the PointSolutions Desktop Dashboard

Uploading Grades to MyClasses:

Grades can be uploaded to MyClasses directly from the PointSolutions App Dashboard within the Manage tab.

Select the Manage tab.
Select the course.
Click Upload Grades.
A list of un-registered students will be displayed. Use the list to email students.
Click Ok to close the notification window.
Select the grade columns you want to upload and click Upload.
Close the Task Window.

IMPORTANT: A PointSolutions Account subscription is mandatory. If a participant does not purchase a subscription, his or her score will show as an asterisk in all PointSolutions Desktop participant reports. Furthermore, his or her score will export as "0" to an Excel workbook and will not be exported to the Gradebook in MyClasses.
