Distance Learning and IVN Rooms
Salisbury University has many rooms for providing videoconferencing services thru the State of Maryland's IVN ( Interactive Video Network ) system.

Locations on campus
There are five distance learning rooms on campus. Four are located in the Teacher Education and Technology Complex (TE-301,TE-328, TE-355, TE-381 and TE-382) and one is located in Perdue Hall(PH-250) .
In addition to this TE-301, TE-355 and PH-250 also support Skype or other web type conference systems.

Equipment
Each room is equipped with a Polycom 9000 HDX series codec s, seating ranges from 16 to 44. Each Polycom codec has its own dedicated network connection in addition to the computer located on the teaching station. The rooms are also equipped with wireless internet for student use.

At this time the university only supports TCP/IP connections and will not support ISDN "direct dial" conferences.
Scheduling
These facilities are available for teleconferences in addition to classes. Off campus groups can do teleconferencing for a fee on a space available basis. Contact Ray Fantini at rafantini@salisbury.edu or Mike Camillo at 410-677-0031 for more information.
