The following instructions are for SPSS installation on personal devices. For SU owned devices, please install via Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (Mac).

To download IBM SPSS navigate to SPSS Download and choose Try SPSS Statistics for free.

At the next screen you will fill out the registration form and click Submit

After registering for a free trial you will be sent a verification code by email or text.  Verify the account and log in to your account.

Once logged into your account, click on the person icon on the upper right of the screen and choose My IBM which will take you to your available downloads.

Click the download button and you will be taken to a choice of downloads.  Pick the download appropriate for your Operating System.

 

Install for Windows

The installer for Windows will be SPSSStatistics.exe. Click to begin Installation.

Click Next

Check the button to accept the license agreement and click Next.

At the next screen, confirm the location of the Destination Folder and click Next.

Click Install.  This may take several minutes to complete.

 

Leave the checkbox Start IBM SPSS Statistics now selected and click Finish.

This will launch the license activation screen. 

Select Authorized user License and click Next.

Enter the code supplied by the Help Desk at 410-677-5454 or by ticket request at https://support.salisbury.edu into the box and click Add then Next. 

You will see an Authorization succeeded message in green.

Click Next, then click Finish.  SPSS will launch.

 

Install for Mac

The install for Mac will be SPSSStatistics.pkg. Click to open the installer and at the Welcome screen hit Continue.

At the Read Me screen click Continue.

At the Software License Screen, click Continue. There will be a License agreement pop up screen. Click Agree.

At the Installation type screen, click Install.

When installation is complete, click the SPSS Statistics application icon to bring up the Activation Screen. Choose Launch License Wizard.

At the Product Authorization screen choose Authorized User License. Then click Next.

Enter the code supplied by the Help Desk at 410-677-5454 or by ticket request at https://support.salisbury.edu into the box and click Add then Next. 

You will see an Authorization succeeded message in green.

Click Next, then click Finish.  SPSS will launch.
