Workday - Edit Absence Request "In Progress" fix

When submitting an absence request in Workday, you cannot edit your absence submission while the status is “In Progress”.

If you need to edit an absence request after submission that is still “In Progress”, you will have to cancel the current absence request and submit a new request. To cancel an absence request, please follow these steps:

 

Navigate to Menu

Select the Absence app

Select Correct My Absence under Request Column

Select the absence request by clicking in the gray bar that needs to be cancelled on your absence calendar

 Select Cancel this Request to cancel your absence

 Enter the reason into the Comment text box for the cancellation

Select Submit

A pop-up window displays stating the absence has been successfully cancelled
