Zoom App on Chromebook/Chrome OS devices
As of August 2022, Zoom no longer supports the Chrome OS App. Users with Chromebooks and other devices with Chrome OS should switch to Zoom's Progressive Web Application (PWA).
The PWA can be installed from the Google Play store (click the link or search for ‘Zoom PWA’ or ‘Zoom for Chrome PWA’ in the Play store) and will appear as an application on your Chrome OS device.
Download the app, then either log in or join a meeting, and you’re up and running.
PWA offers much of the same great Zoom functionality as you would experience on a Windows or Mac desktop, that was previously lost on the Zoom for Chrome OS App such as screen sharing, support for live interpreters, polling, breakout rooms, virtual backgrounds and blur, Chat, a 25-participant Gallery view, and the Zoom Whiteboard.
For details, see How to use Zoom on a Chromebook with our progressive web app (PWA) on the Zoom website.
